Nyeri Golf Club

The Nyeri Club has the second oldest golf course in Kenya. The Club was started by Reggie McClure and G. Sandbach Baker in 1910. The first nine-holes were laid out in the same year. The difficult mountainous course offers exquisite scenery (Mt. Kenya can be seen from the 6th tee). Well protected greens, deep roughs and very tall evergreens plus a stream and a valley all contribute in making it a tough course.
Also it is now over 100 years old. It started with the first nine-holes which was extended to eighteen holes in 1934. The first hole is surrounded by beautiful Jacaranda Trees with a yard for men and another for women.
