6801 yards - par 72 - 18 holes

Muthaiga Golf Club, proudly called the Home of Golf by its elite membership, is in many ways the ultimate embodiment of Kenya’s unique marriage of ancient golf tradition and a modern 18 hole championship golf course. As this club prepares to celebrate its long-awaited centenary, Muthaiga G.C. has also been reborn as one of the most prestigious and challenging courses in the region. The force behind this renaissance is an extensive course reconstruction by the celebrated South African course designer Peter Matkovich, which in 2004 returned Muthaiga to prominence as the finest course with the fastest greens in East Africa. The Kenya Open, which is part of the European PGA Challenge Tour, is hosted at Muthaiga G.C. every year and visitors can bask in the knowledge that many true greats of the game have walked this way before – with names like Lyle, Ballesteros, Faldo and Vijay Singh etched on the club house boards. Winding through the lush woodlands of Karura Forest, Muthaiga Golf Club offers a great ambiance with numerous lakes and ponds. The water features are a breeding ground for Egyptian Geese and other fauna. Monkeys frolic around on the 522 yards dog legged hole number 4 and the following par 3 hole number 5. With lots of tradition and a most challenging golf course, Muthaiga Golf Club is a must play for any golfer visiting Kenya.

the Baobab 18 Holes – Par 72 – 6653 metres
Vipingo Ridge is the latest sensation on golf in Kenya. This development of 36 holes opened the first 18 holes – The Baobab - in July 2009. Vipingo Ridge has a lot to offer due to its unique location.  Situated in the centre of a 2,500 acre former sisal estate, the property rises from just above sea level to a 140 metre high ridge before falling off again to the scenic lake and game conservation area to the west of the site.

The two 18 hole golf courses, of which one is still under construction, at Vipingo Ridge, designed by David Jones, are the first in East Africa to be built to a truly international standard, with the world renowned USGA specification being used for all aspects of the course. The large and undulating greens are cultivated with fine Bermuda grasses to guarantee fast and true putting surfaces.
A meandering system of waterfalls, lakes and streams runs through both courses giving a real risk-reward quality to many holes and also creating new natural habitats for birds and wildlife. Extensive fairway modeling and the planting of thousands of new trees ensured that every hole has strategic elements to bring interest and enjoyment.
